We have collectively sent over 1,000 pledgestar emails. Awesome job! One more full week of fundraising to go. It’s working!!! Let’s do this!


Thank you to those who are signing up and sending emails and seeing results! The magic number to reach a $100 goal is 10 emails. The more you send, the more we raise! Together We Shine!!!


Now is a good time to send an email reminder to those who have opened or viewed a donation request by clicking on the name and RESEND.


Remember for every $20 donation on or checks/cash the usual way, your kids earn more raffle tickets for great prizes including bicycles, scooters, fitbit, boogie boards, ipod shuffle, skyzone, tempest gift certificates and more!!!

A big thanks to Ms. Kooy and the student council and Sarah Kusch for helping to kick off Jogathon 2017!! It was so much fun to dance and move and celebrate Grant! Let’s raise money together for the school that we love.

Santa Monica Malibu Wine Auction

We are seeking wine donations for the annual Santa Monica-Malibu wine auction, which benefits SMMEF, so please contact me, Molly White at or at 310-488-6542, if you would like to donate from your personal wine collection or have contacts who may want to donate.  Last year we had some spectacular wines – and we hope to repeat that success this year!

The deadline to submit wine donations is April 14th.

The SMMEF Wine Auction would also love to have a Community Collection of Wines from each school. Please consider donating a bottle that has special meaning to you – your wedding wine, a winery you’ve visited, your favorite special occasion bottle, etc.  The wine should be valued at $20 or more.  Please attach a note with your “story of the wine” and sign the label, and then separately provide a brief description and the dollar value of the wine (this can be printed from the internet).  We cannot collect wine on campus – but I live close to the school and would be happy to arrange for private pick-up/drop-off).

Grant Elementary School Book Drive

Please drop off any gently used children’s books
the front of Grant Elementary School.

Saturday, November 19th
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

We are looking to build the love of reading by building classroom libraries that give all students access to books of interest at their level.

Have a few books that your child has already read? When you drop them off, you will be entered into a raffle to win an Amazon gift card. Raffle winners will be announced on Monday, November 21st.
